You can use "End a Disconnected Session" setting in Terminal Server
Configuration Tool (tscc.msc) to log off any disconnected session after a
specified time.

One of the most important files that needs to be backed up is a database file. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get one of their remote users to properly logoff from their Terminal Server session at the end of the day. They are simply disconnecting which leaves the database file open and ntbackup skips it. > > Is there a way to force a true "end" or "logoff" of a Terminal Server session so that I can get this important file available for backup each evening. > > Windows 2000 Server, all service packs and updates applied, client is WinXP Pro. > > Thanks, > Ben Askew
