I posted earlier questions asking how to run an arbitrary shell command from
JavaScript in Netscape. IE on Windows lets you create an ActiveX shell
object and use its .Run method to run an arbitrary command, and I was hoping
to use something similar to launch an RDP (Microsoft's Terminal Server
protocol) client from a web page. The only responses I received were
chastisement for my foolish willingness to let any web site execute a shell
command on my PC. That's a good point that I overlooked while under
pressure to find a way to launch an RDP client from a web page.
A better question would be has anyone built a Netscape plug-in version of
rDesktop or any other non-Windows RDP client?
Thanks,
