Hi Everyone

Thanks for your responses - very much appreciated.

In answer to your questions:

The reason there is a lot of space is so that we can scan all the
post and any documentation and et the remote users have access on th
same machine - therefore if wee need to reboot the data and TS users
are all on the same server - all other data is held on the SBS 2003
Server. I thought it would be an idea to cut down on network traffic
having the TS data on the TS server

No, it's not a Dell :-)

I thought it was strange them saying about the limitation - but I
assumed they knew best - obviously not.
I am going to delete the current dynamic volume and set it basic with
standard partitions - it's what I know best.

The reason for the odd 200GB was just to have an area on the drives
where I cans tore any admin files and programs away from the core
data and operating system section - no reason why just for
housekeeping. Although saying this I might not bother recreating it
when I go to basic disks and just craete a secure folder on the
operating system drive

Thanks for the final comment:
"Dynamic Disks are intended to be used in software raids. The
advantage is that you can create logical drives on a physical drive
or span multiple discs, mirror them, etc. You never need (or should
use) them if you use a hardware raid."

I am going to definitely delete the dynamic and craete one basic
partition as I have got hardware raid card in the system (LSI)

Again thanks for your comments

Speak soon

Ray

You're most welcome.
You don't need much to run TS - especially as concerns drive space. Don't
store any data on that box. Keep all your data on your file server(s). Life
will be easier. :)
