See the answer from Alan Morris:

I'm using printer management to install shared printers on our 2008
server (x86)..
In this case its an HP LJ2200, previously on the old 2003 x86 system,
I would add the tcp/ip address/port and choose the HP LJ 2200 PS (MS)
driver (built in)..
Once i did this, if you went to the sharing tab.. additional drivers..
you would see x64 was already checked off and done.
On 2008, I did the same thing, but x64 is not checked off. If i try
to check it off, it asks for the inf path but it doesnt find the right
driver naturally.
Am I missing something here?
Also.. I thought i read something about being able to build a printer
pool, so if one server was down another could provide the printer? In
the past we used two servers for redundancy..
IE: all drivers/shares on VSDC01 and on another server called
VSDC02.. so they would pick either VSDC01 or 02 for a given printer..
I'm guessing the pool would eliminate the need to pick?
Thanks
.
