Not so tough. But:
1. He refused to even acknowledge the fact that he might have
screwed up.
2. Then when I offered to pay him to fix the problem, he put me
off
for 2 1/2 days.
3. Then on the day he was supposed to show up he faxes me a
release form, releasing him from any responsibility for loss of data,
time, RAID Array, hardware problems, etc. Keep in mind that there is
nothing on the server yet except the OS, a backup program, and an
anitvirus program.
4. To make matters worse, he insisted that I mail him the check
for the labor ( even though I offered to hand it to him when he came
in 2 days later.
5. Then the final nail in the coffin was I waited until 6 PM to
have
him show up, but because the check had not yet arrived in the mail, he
cancelled my appointment!

So I stopped payment on the check and I fired his ass! Felt pretty
good too!

For what it's worth, I'm a consultant and I don't blame you one jot.
