Hello Nondisclosure007,
You can not just backup the system state from SBS version and restore it
to another Standard edition. I strongly recommend you to ask in the SBS NG,
there are your experts:
microsoft/public.windows.server.sbs

Hello.
I have to re-platform a Windows 2008 SBS server to a Windows 2008
Standard Server along w/ different hardware (long story as to how I
got here).
All I want to backup off of this is the Active Directory database and
restore it. For my users and computers in the domain. there isn't
anything else on it that I can't backup otherwise (DNS and DHCP server
settings) and/or just re-create in under 5 minutes.
Is there a simple way to do this and if so, got a link? if not, still
got a link?
