Take a lok at

Before you install a Windows 2003 domain controller you need to run adprep /forestprep and then adprep /domainprep on the current infrastructure master.

My existing Domain consist of 8 Servers 2003 Enterprise, 2 of those Servers are also Domain Controllers, I just install Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise on my new Dell 2950, and trying to run "dcpromo" but it keeps failing telling me I need to run adprep /domainprep, and when I do that I get an error
"Adprep cannot run on this platform because it is not a domain controller"
Run adprep on a domain controller
Is that mean that I need to insert Windows 2003 R2 CD to one of my existing domain controller and run adprep /domainprep or adprep /forestprep?
Thanks Mark
