I can use the install CD from WS2K3 Std R2, and all goes as expected -
but I need to put the Ent version on. Any thoughts?
Most likely R2 has the necessary drivers for your RAID controller but the non-R2 version does not.
You'll need a floppy disk with the correct mass storage device drivers on - sometimes known as an 'F6 Floppy' because you'll need to hit F6 when prompted ("Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver...")
Your hardware manufacturer's website should have the necesasary downloads.
