Hello Proscott,

Why don't you make a real fresh installation with formatting the disks during setup routine?

Best regards

History:
The Pc is a Xpc Shuttle AMD 6000+ @gb 2x320GB Seagate Sata Mirror Raid
with
Via chipset and Raid configured in mirror
Originaly it had windows XP Pro Installed, the It was Upgraded to
Vista
Ulitmate
for about a week, no special features were enabled that was not
sufficient.
MS Server 2003 R2 Standard edition was installed, over the to (file
system
was left intact during install and the windows directory was deleted
to make
way for server.
During instlation there was problems copying over *.xml files, they
had to
be skiped
Problem:
Straight after instalation Service pack 2 was installed via auto
updates at
first it could not copy over a "guest.bmp" (an icon for the guest user
account) in to the "all users" (in documnets and settings) this was
because
it was from the old install and and the activer 'all users' path was
actually
"All Users.WINDOWS".
I deleted the all users directory as the access was denied to modify
it.
This fixed that problem, i had to re-run the SP2 and the next problem
has me stumped, it is trying to install " WIRELESSPROFILE.XDR" and
setup can not find "xmlp_wp.xdr" i can see it in the I386 directory
but it wont install.

So, i have gone to the c:\windows\Svcpack.log file and found the last
enterys
they are :

It goes on like this for a bit (i retried a few times ) i went the the
destation C:\WINDOWS\provisioning\schemas\ this is its destinantion
directory and i fount a file name like ~-Temp.tmp- wiht a 1KB size i
delete this and the directory hoping it will fix it and run the
service pack again, then i have this error in the log file

I created the directory that i deleted again and it fix this problem,
but 5 seconds later it says service pack cannot install i have to
click ok, then it rolls back, and says the usual SP2 can't install ,
and may not work propapally. so i reboot and run again

this time goes for a while and then says can not install. This is now
the end of the log file:
