Re: Unable to Mirror 2 SCSI Disks in Windows

Are both disks the exact same model and firmware rev? A different drive
firmware revision could make the drives look different to the system.

In any case you are probably right that you would only be able to mirror one
partition or the other if the second drive reports being smaller. If you
have no other option you might need to backup the server and restore it to
drive 1, and then make it drive 0. Then you should be able to mirror them.

I am unable to mirror 2 disks. Here is my setup:

2 Physical SCSI disks. Both 36 GB. No onboard RAID controller.

Disk 0 - Dynamic. Has C: and D:. Both NTFS, both Simple. Partition
Style:
MBR

I am trying to fully mirror disk 0 onto disk 1. If I right-click on
either
the C: or D: partitions, the option to 'Add Mirror' exists, but I cannot
mirror them both!

Here is another odd thing: Both physical hard drives show slightly
different sizes. Disk 0 shows 33.91 GB. Disk 1 Shows 33.79 GB.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
PM
