My experience has been mainly with HP servers and Win Server 2003 R2 and various editions of Longhorn, but I generally find it's best to use diskpart to get the disk really clean.
I suspect that you've already done this, BTW.

I know this is a long shot...
We have bought some Dell poweredge 3250 servers which are itatium-2
based servers, using a efi boot manager.
We have tried to install the following server products on them
Windows Server 2003 for IA-64
Windows Server 2003 with SP1 for itatium.
Windows XP 64 for IA-64
Windows longhorn server for IA-64
We have not yet been sucessful in installing windows, all that is
happening is the setup process starts , then when it gets to the section
that starts windows (the screen where you press enter to begin setup)
the server just goes to a flashing cursor in the top left corner of the
screen.
I was wondering if
A) Any one had seen this before
B) any one has had experience installing windows on a PE-3250
Thanks in advance
Brett
