I have a windows 2000 server acting as a DHCP server (and all other
possible roles). I've split my network into 2 VLANs: 192.168.1.0/24, for
data (computers/servers) and 192.168.2.0/24 for our new VOIP telephone
system. The PBX also acts as the default gateway for the VOIP VLAN and
as a DHCP relay agent for that subnet.
When I connect a phone to the switch. The telephone sends out a DHCP
request. The DHCP relay agent redirects the request to the DHCP server
on the other VLAN (running a sniffer on the DHCP server shows the
packets arriving on the server), but the DHCP server simply ignores
these requests and never sends out a reply/lease.
I can't figure out why the DHCP server simply ignores the DHCP
requests. Has anyone ever encounter such a problem?

Re: Multiple IPs on single NIC and multiple VLANs ... then it is possible for us to point these NIC to VLAN which you have ... are you using CISCO or MS dhcp server for VLAN configuration?... you have to connect these 2 NIC cards to different subnet range / 2 ...
