Hi group,
I'm new to working with an AD server and have the following problem:
I'd like to create a user account with which this user has software
installation rights on any client he logs on to.
I have created the account "Admin" which is member of "Domain Users"
and "Administrators". But when I log on to a client I don't have the
sufficient rights. I have to put "Admin" into the group of "Domain
Admins" for this to work.
I've googled a bit but only came across the hint to put "Admin" into
the group of local admins, but such a group is non-existent on my
server 2003 installation.
If you have any clues I'd be very thankful.
Cheers,
Jens
Jens,
They mean the local admin group on the client machines, not on the server.
Which indeed does not exist on domain controllers.
.
