I got the impression that they only created files or directories using their
name. Dunno...
Anyone that operates an FTP server will see these attempts constantly in
their FTP server logs. Of course, if you are configured correctly, you will
also see that the attempts always fail :) (error code 530 for failed
password at logon and 550 for failed MKD make directory command) :)
