Upgrading a Win2K member server to 2K3

I have several servers that I am upgrading to Windows 2003. I have already
upgraded 2 of them with no problem. However, the 3rd one, when I tried to
upgrade it today, seemed to go a little flaky. When I put the CD in, I tell
it to do an upgrade, then it does it's initial processing and reboots the
server.
On the first 2 servers, it came back up into Windows and completed the
installation. However, on this 3rd server, it rebooted and came back to the
DOS-based setup program the runs when you press a key when prompted with
"Press any key to boot from the CD...". I didn't press any keys, and the
BIOS of the server isn't setup to boot from the CD drive as the first boot
device. If I go through and tell it to install 2003 on the existing C:
drive, it tells me that there isn't a valid Windows partition there, and
that I have to re-create the partition (which I obviously do not want to
do).
Anybody know what could make the setup program behave this way? What can I
do to get this server upgraded to 2003?
Thanks,
Harry
