Video card for Windows Server

Unable to run the .Net framework 2.0 or Visual Studio 2005 on my 3 year old
Toshiba laptop (XP SP1) because SP2 fails to install, I figured I'd just get
a low end server (HP Proliant ML119 G3), install Windows Server 2003 and
kill two birds with one stone - Windows Server and a good development box.

Here is the issue - the VGA output is not acceptable.

What alternatives exist for a video card for Window Server 2003?

HP support wrote:

We regret to inform you that no PCI-Express or PCI video cards are tested on
this Server, How ever you may check with the video card vendor for the
PCI-Express or PCI specification compatible card.
