Hi Lanwench:

These errors are showing up in the event log of the primary domain
controler. They are occuring from more than one network printer.
They are often Error, Event ID 1111.

File server 3 is also the print server. It's logs are OK.

Thank you for helping.

I asked about terminal services because the messages you're getting sounded
like errors one gets with printer redirection when connecting to a terminal
server. Sure that isn't the case? If you log into the domain on a
workstation and try to print to a printer hosted on another print server,
the domain controller isn't going to have any messages regarding printing at
all. Can you please clarify exactly what's happening?

On a print server running 2003 Server I get the following error (and
others similar to it) repeatedly:

Driver HP LaserJet 2300 series PCL6 required for printer!!fs3!5542.
Workroom LaserJet 2300n Is unknown. Contact the administrator to
install the driver before you log in again.

This is a workroom printer at our 5542 building. The print server
has the driver. May I ask how to resolve this error?

I'm confused as to where you're seeing this message. Is this a
terminal server? Are you having problems with printer redirection in
TS?
