I know that some versions of PC anywhere will cause Win XP pro to
boot in safe mode, or not at all.
This product is not the best option for remote control of XP/2003
servers, to say the least.
I would use something like VNC (www.realvnc.com/download.html ) as it is far less intrusive an application
Uninstall PC anywhere and reboot.
You may be need to recover the server using a repair install.
Good luck!

I am helping a friend of a friend. She just bought a brand new server for her health care company and asked me to set it up. One of the last things I had to do was have Synergy installed on it. Synergy is a health care software program, and it would have been installed remotely by someone at the Synergy company. The Synergy guy said I first had to install Symantic PC Anywhere. My friend gave me a copy she had to install, Symantic PC Anywhere 10.5. After I installed it on the server, the server booted up in low resolution graphics, similar to what you would see in safe mode. No matter how I often I tried to adjust the resolution in Display properties or update the device driver, the server stayed with the same graphics that could barely fit on the screen. When the Synergy guy tried to install his software remotely, he connected (because I could see his mouse cursor move on my screen and he could see his cursor) but all he saw on his screen was nothing but some lines. Please help. Thanks.
