Hi.

If you cannot telnet to port 25 then you have a network connectivity
issue. Did you try to telnet using the IP address of the mail server?
Make sure you have the right IP address.

Even though relaying is disabled you can connect to a mail server on
port 25. It not until the SMTP commands are transferred you'll be
denied access to relaying.

So check IP addresses, DNS name resolution and firewall rules. You'll
get nowhere until you're able to telnet successfully to port 25 on the
mail server.
