IIS Manager error: Snap-in failed to initialize

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I upgraded XP Home to XP Pro SP2 to install IIS web server. Windows
Components wizard showed I have IIS (13.5 MB) installed. However, I
could not see the IIS manager icon on my Administrative Tools of the
Control. Then, I found the iis.msc file and created
two shortcuts on the Desktop and Administrative Tools. Opening both
shortcuts showed a same error message:

Snap-in failed to initialize.
Name:<Unknown>
CLSID:{A841B6C2-7577-11D0-BB1F-00A0C922}

What's wrong with my Windows XP Pro SP2? How to fix the problem?

TIA,
Jeffrey
