Re: the interface is unknown

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Windows 2003 does support Windows 2K domain controllers, if it hasn't yet
been fully promoted to Windows 2003 functional level.

When Windows 2003 AD is first installed, it is installed in Mixed Mode, bot
for the domain and the forrest.
If the domain/forrest has been upgraded to a clean Windows 2003 mode, then
you need Windows 2003 on all your DCs, as I belive the upgrade cannot be
reversed.

Check you forrest and domain functional level, which you do by opening the
AD Users and Computers MMC snapin, and then looking at the Properties for
your domain).

For more info, try searching for "domain functional level" at Google
(http://www.google.se/search?q=%22domain+functional+level%22&hl=sv&lr=&start
