Duane,

As a starter,

Check your KVM switch. Not all KVM switches will correctly maintain the PS2
keybaord interface signals and result in loss of keyboard if the keyboard is
switched away. How is the USB configured in the system bios? Sometimes USB
keyboards are set to Legacy Mode so in effect emulate PS2 via the BIOS. Have
you checked for a BIOS update? Be careful if you follow this step...

Try running the server with a dedicated PS2 keyboard, mouse and monitor for
a while.

I suspect you have 2 (or more) problems here.

If the keyboard issue is KVM related, then you should be able to make some
progress - your second problem could be say NIC failure, but I would expect
event logs for that.
