Don't understand the question. If you have DNS set up in common for the two
domain controllers, the fully qualified name tells you the name of the
forest. If the two servers do not share the same DNS at all -nothing in
common - and are not on the same LAN then it is possible to have the same
forest name but with unconnected domains.
