OK, here's the situation:

I have a brand new Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition
server--2.8 GHz P4 with 1 GB RAM and running 2-80 GB hard
drives in a software RAID. The server was set up to run
WWW, FTP, POP3 and SMTP. It is behind a hardware
firewall, with the appropriate ports open (80, 21, 25 and
110) both incoming and outgoing. The server was set up
and working perfectly for two weeks. Then, all of a
sudden, last night, it decided not to work. It is now
bouncing back all incoming messages, and any messages
sent get stuck in the queue folder and don't get sent--
the bounce back after the default time settings.

Why, after two weeks, would it decide to all at once not
work? I haven't made any changes, updates, or upgrades to
it in that time. I haven't done anything but check it
every so often to make sure everything is working OK, and
it was.

The error given is typically a mail loop error, but it's
to any number of addresses. There is no rhyme or reason
to its dilemma, and my entire school district is offline.
HELP ME! I don't want to be held up with Micro$oft's
$245 "tech support guarantee"...
