Hi,

I have had a request to create an unattended server build on IBM hardware.
The hardware is an xSeries 345 and the server has 6 disks. These disks are
configured as three RAID 1 arrays and we are trying to install Windows 2003
on the hardware, I have tried xSeries 365 and 345 with serveraid 6i/6m and
4m controllers. I have used ServeRAID Manager 6.11 and 7.0 to create the
arrays but we have the same problem.

The problem manifests itself after the textmode portion of the install,
directly before the GUI. All goes well up to step 5 detailed below:

1. Boots from the floppy, and attaches to the network and copies the Window
2003 files to the hard disk

4. Reboot and examines disks, copies files to the Windows installation
folder

5. Reboot and were it should go to the convert FAT32 to NTFS it displays a
message "Missing NTLDR"

I have tried the exact same process with two RAID 1 arrays and it works
fine, only when I configure 3 RAID 1 arrays does this happen.

I have tried the exact same process on HP hardware and there is no problem
at all - the server builds as required.

Has anybody seen this and know how to fix it ?

Cheers
