Hi Scott,

No, Exchange does not need WINS or NetBIOS. It can run very happily with
TCP/IP and DNS.

Almost only reason for WINS and NetBIOS is compatibility with old clients
(Win9x, WinME, Windows NT) and old applications...

Any client and server after Windows 2000 can "run on pure TCP/IP and DNS"...
