I have struggled with the same issues the your are currently experiencing.
Here is a solution I found that works with Windows Server 2003
1) Go to
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20313.html
and download the softpaq
2) Extract the drivers to a folder of your choice.
3) Copy ONLY the "CpqCissm.sys" file from the folder that you extracted the
drivers to.
4) Paste the above file to c:\%windir%\system32\drivers on your Master
Device
5) Capture the image
** Since you already have an image created, you might just try mounting your
image and adding the driver in that way before you redeploy it.
You should now be able to have a more portable image. The driver you copied
encompasses the following controllers:
Smart Array 5300 Controller
Smart Array 5i
Smart Array 532 Controller
Smart Array 5312 Controller
Smart Array 641 Controller
Smart Array 642 Controller
Smart Array 6400 Controller
Smart Array 6400 U320 EM Controller
I use an old IBM Netfinity server as my Master Device and was able to follow
the steps above and deploy an image on an HP ML530 with no problems. Again,
I was using Windows Server 2003, but I would assume that it would work under
windows 2000 as well.
If not, you might want to look at rebuilding your image and using F6 to add
in the storage controller drivers this way. Now they will be a part of the
image you are capturing.

to deploy to servers with 5312 and 6400 controllers. I have tried loads of
different variations in my Sysprep.inf but the server always blue screens
with Inaccessible_boot_device.
