Hi Cindy,
That's for you to decide. You will not be able to install SP1 if you are
using an illegal key, which it sounds like you are.
What you can try is:
Backup the server, completely
Run an in-place upgrade/repair install
But I'm not sure that the OEM disk will allow you to do that
