NTBackup log files - HOWTO rename them

Greetings all,
I have a client who uses the built in backup utility(NTbackup) in 2003
SBS to backup their server. They also use NTBackup to backup a server
at a remote location. That file is then copied to the SBS server and
written to tape with everything else.
The remote server is a Windows 2000 box.
I have created a script, on the remote server, to run NTbackup, copy
the file accross the VPN and then email me when it is done.
I would like to modify that script a bit so that it attaches the log
file to the email. That part I can do.
What I would like to do is rename the NTbackup log file.
Essentially I would like to do something like: rename backup*.log
rename%date%.log
Anyone know how I can do that?
thanks.
.
