Re: Create List Of Folder User Permissions

For our security management task we use Security Explorer from
Scriptlogic (http://www.scriptlogic.com/sxp). Permission extract is one
of its features we use frequently to build permission security sceleton
for the domain or specified part of its members. We usually extract
permissions remotely to CSV file or to MDB when there is lots of
objects when say user changes his workplace. The handy thing is the
ability to export permission only when there's difference from parent.
This allows revealing inheritance blocking.

Hey All, previous sys admin had issues with assigning folder
permissions to groups. His solution was to put user names in the folder
security tabs. We want to correct this with groups. Initial
investigation shows that usernames are embedded in multiple folders
throughout the entire share. Instead of going to each folder to find
who's there, is there a way or script to take a given username and
return a listing of all the folders where this user has been added to
the folder permissions tab?

Thx GMan
