My DHCP range starts at 192.168.1.100 with the lower numbers reserved for
printers, servers, switches and the like. Problem is, my predesesor did not
keep a list of which IP addresses he assigned where. So I'm thinking that I
would like a script, or batch file, that performs a ping and saves the
results to a text file. I've been looking at it and can't seem to figure
out how to accomplish this. Can anyone help me?
I'm basically thinking of something like this:
For I = 1 to 100
Ping 192.167.1. I
Next I
I also looked at using an Excel macro but couldn't figure out how to run the
Ping command from there.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Linn
