[MSH] The new name is: Windows Power Shell

The file extensions for script files will change to .ps1 where the 1 is used
to indicate version information to the shell. Presumably if there is a
breaking change in the product the file extension would change to .ps2 or
something like that. It seems that the Microsoft folks are going to use the
full name "Windows Power Shell" probably because they need to make it stick.
The Monad name as well as the acronym MSH will be gone. That begs the
question in my mind of what the new acronym should be. Sorry but I'm not
going to go around always saying Windows Power Shell. That's five syllables
man! And we do love acronyms in this industry. So let me suggest a few and
see what you folks think:

WIPS (WIndows Power Shell) - Hey, it's one syllable
WPS - similar approach as MSH
PSH - (Power SHell) - It's OK I guess.
???

BTW release candidate 1 will be made available today at 10 am PST on the MS
download center. WIPS/WPS/PSH is expected to ship sometime in the fourth
quarter (2006).
