Active Directory Searching question

I need to find all servers whether member servers or Domain Controllers in
our forest with multiple domains.
How do I do this in scripting. I have tried LDAP queries to the root of the
forest as well as GC queries but nothing seems to work. I can not find a
table that tells what classes/properties are listed in the GC to query on. I
have used ObjectCategory=computer but that does not filter down far enough
Can anyone help
