You know something, your blurb on being behind a firewall
etc. just does not fly outside of a home or tightly controlled
corp environment. In the enterprise, having each client run
firewall is / can be problematic, and in some enterprise envs
a border firewall does not prevent messenger abuse.
At the university where I work I have had the messenger service
disabled since the current Windows version was NT 4, mostly
due to student abuse.
