Hi alll,
I know this isn't a SBS issue (although the PC was connected to a SBS
server) but, "you all" are the "smartest-bestest" people I know.
I got a vostro 200 that updated microsoft patches yesterday. (although
I am not completly sure it was a MS patch since the end user did it!)
Now the PC will not boot at all.
When I boot normal I get the following message.
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
regular stuff (if this is the first time..)
0X00000050 (0XC7B9D8F4,0X00000001,0X80537009,0X00000000)
If I try to boot in safe mode I get
0X0000007E (0X00000003,0X805C49B8,0XBA4632B4,0XBA4C2FBO)
The only thing in the pc not "vanilla" is a ATI video card it is a
Radeon HD 2400 pro PCI by Visiontek which I have removed and am now
using the on-board video.
I have run a BARTPC CD and cleaned using the following apps any
malware/spyware/virus' without any help.
Avira
Avast
Malwarebytes
SPYBOT S&D
(spybot s&d found the most errors and cleaned them)
I have also replaced the RAM and still no joy.
I have also tried to "roll back" the registry to a few day ago without
any luck.
I am leaning twards some kind of driver issue.
Aggree?
I would like to edit the loaded drivers to see if I can get it back to
a stable state.
I need a little guidance to editing the registry in remote mode and a
list if the MS drivers so I don't delete anything critical.
Any other suggestions are anxiously appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin
EDIT VOSTRO 400....
I can't get anything right today........
