Re: RPC over HTTP and OWA login takes exactly 90 seconds to complete

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi David,

The sites shut down after a period of inactivity (I don't remember the default period, something like 2 hours), the resources they would otherwise use are available to other applications. They take time to start up on first access, after that, you see the faster access.

No error messages in any of the system logs.
Interesting note; when I login through OWA the first time it takes 90
seconds but if I log out and log back in and it takes only 5 seconds.
The server console login also takes exactly 90 seconds to complete.
What is going on??
SBS server 2003 R2
Outlook 2007 configured with rpc/http
IE8 browser.
