Thanks for your post.
SBS 2003 has ISAPI filters(SBSFLT.DLL) that runs in IIS to redirect port 80 to 443 (ie. http:// to https://). Only thing sbsflt.dll does is redirect HTTP to HTTPS when the "Require
SSL" is checked on the site or virtual directories.
SBS 2008 will not automatically redirect HTTP requests to HTTPs like SBS 2003. In SBS 2008 no redirection occurs and IE returns error page HTTP 403 Forbidden , Access
Denied.
