When join a computer (vista) to the SBS (no ISA) domain, it shows the
following error message when running the connection link:

"An error occurred whil trying to copy the Client Setup files. Check the
following, and then try again:
If you use a public proxy server to browse the Intrernet, clear the

CAUSE
======
Default web site is not listening on "All Unassigned" for port 80.

RESOLUTION
===========
Set default web site to listen on "All Unassigned" for port 80. To do so:

Open IIS MMC, right click Default Web Site and then click Properties. In
the
Web site tab, make sure "All Unassigned" is selected in IP address field.

If not, please change it and run "iisreset".

Note: Before above steps, you may need to check the following:

1. Run CEICW to re-configure the network and firewall on the SBS server.

2. Configure workstations to point to the SBS 2003 server for DNS.

3. Add the ConnectComputer server's IP address or FQDN to the Local
Intranet
zone in the Internet Explorer of the client workstations.

4. Make sure the IP addresses of those client workstations are in the
same
subnet as the SBS internal NIC.

Thanks, it's an inplace upgrade. I boutght Vista Business whereas I
shouldve
bought Ultimate.
Elsewhere I'd already seen the suggestion to remove the check about
secure
communications... but that one never was checked.
I have already tried to delete the computer from my domain. I have
deleted
it from the Computersconsole in the ServerManager, do not know if that
is
the
same as unjoining.
But this deletion, some reboots of the server and the client have
brought
no
improvement.

Also, you might want to post an ipconfig /all for both the SBs
srver

the Vista workstation.

And you can try:

1. Open IIS MMC.
2. Go to Server(local computer)\Web Sites\Default Web
Site\Connectcomputer.
3. Right click Connectcomputer and select properties.
4. On the Directory Security tab, click Edit under Secure
Communications.
5. Remove the selection of Require secure channel(SSL) and Require
128-bit
encryption if it is selected.
6. Click OK and check how ConnectComputer works.

Upgrades can be a pain. Was this an in-place upgrade or a 'wipe and
install' of Vista Business? Wipe and install seems to be less
painful.

Mery, thanks. I disabled every nic in my setup except the Nvidia
that
is
on
the mobo (and the one to be used). Among the things i switched off
was
the
Teredo Tunneling protocol which is a sort op VPN isnt it? Anyway,
after I
retried Connectcomputer, the old error did not appear anymore, but
I
got

section in Device Manager and delete any old network adapters.

I try to connect Vista Business Client with SP1 to (multihomed)
SBS
2003
(Standard) with 926505 installed.
After servername/ConnectComputer, it wants to run nshelp.exe,
but
that
fails
with the message: "Make sure only one network adapter is
enabled"

But there is only one network adapter on that client. However:
This
is
a
former Vista Home Premium that I upgraded to Business. When that
upgrade
was
done it claimed that there was no network card and I reinstalled
it.
Nevertheless my hardware device manager only mentions one NIC
(besides
some
Wanports, Isatap and Bluetooth nics). This is a wired situation,
I
do
not
have wireless, nor do I have a vpn running (that I know of).
