Access denied to device, path or file

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

WIN2K3 SBS R2

Just got message when trying to execute an .exe file on a drive. "Windows cannot access specified device, path or file. You may not have the approporaite permission to access the item".

Logged in as administrator.

I wentto google and it suggested removing IE enhamced security. I did but that did not fix the problem.

Any help appreciated.
