Hi Larry
Here is the event log. does it for the first storage group and then the
second. I have tried to dismount both and restart the information store but
no luck
Log Name: Application
Source: MSExchangeIS
Date: 29/06/2009 6:04:52 PM
Event ID: 9840
Task Category: General
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Computer: my server
Description:
An attempt to prepare the storage group 'First Storage Group' for backup
failed because the storage group is already in the process of being backed
up. The error code is 1293. (Note that if a backup was recently aborted, then
it may take several minutes for the system to detect the aborted backup and
initiate backup cleanup procedures, so this message may be generated if an
attempt was made to backup a storage group before a previous backup attempt
had fully terminated.)

Hi Brett:.
Have to ask.... what steps have you taken to overcome this? Did you search
the Internet or this group for other reports of the same error? Hard to
suggest that you do step 2 or step 4 unless we know if you have already
eliminated step 1 and 3.
Hint: See my signature line, and there is also one for exchange. Also,
what is in your event logs that might pertain, and have you processed those
at www.eventid.net?

Hi
I am recieving the below error after each nightly backup
"Application will not be available for recovery from this backup.
Consistency check failed for component Microsoft Exchange Server\Microsoft
Information Store\SBServer\[insert GUID here]"
When I try and do a restore, the Exchange application is unavailable for
restoring.
Any suggestions.

Brett
