1- Yes I have the check box set for email on Service configuration
2- IN create Certificate I select do not change
3- As I am not using DNS to rediret my email, I have select Forwal all
to email server and I type in the mail server as : mail.solatys.com
4- Then on the Incoming mail method screen i have select to use POP3, the
check use Exchange and set option in order that mails are host at my ISP
side
until my server send a signal. Then I enter again the server mail to send
the signal to as : mail.solatys.com
5- For the type of signal I have ETRN which is set ( I do not know really
here)
6- The next page I have to enter my domaine name for my mail box :
solatys.com
Thats it for the configuration of CEICW that I have done
Then next I follow the next steps as :
Server Management | Advanced Management | First Organization (Exchange) |
Connectors | (right click) SmallBusiness SMTP Connector | Properties |
Advanced | Outbound Security | Basic Authentication | Modify.
Then I enter here the login account to the provider that host my mailbox
on
domain solatys.com
which is a different account as my ISP which give the outside line.
Which credential should be then ?
Anything special that I miss or did wrong ?

I don't believe that Telnet (or port 25) has anything to do with your
issue.
In CEICW, on the Service Configuration screen, have you checked the
"Email"
addition service checkbox?
CEICW Walkthrough
http://www.sbs-rocks.com/sbs2k3/sbs2k3-n2.htm
Have you done the following?
+ Run CEICW and tell it to send all outgoing mail through your ISP's
server
-------------------------------------------
SMARTHOST
As is normal with many ISPs, you'll probably need to authenticate to your
ISP's SMTP server when SENDING mail. In order to accomplish this, you'll
first need to configure Exchange server to use a Smarthost. So,
continuing
on with CEICW, at the "Internet E-mail" screen, select Enable Internet
e-mail. On the Email Delivery Method screen, select "Forward all email
to
the email server at your ISP". Enter your ISP's SMTP server (e.g.,
mail.yourisp.com).
-------------------------------------------
+ Then you need to go into the SmallBusiness SMTP Connector and
configure
you authentication.
-------------------------------------------
SMARTHOST AUTHENTICATION
In CEICW you told it to "Forward all email to the email server at your
ISP"
(i.e., use the ISP as a Smarthost). Most ISPs require authentication to
do
this. To configure authentication, go to:
Server Management | Advanced Management | First Organization (Exchange) |
Connectors | (right click) SmallBusiness SMTP Connector | Properties |
Advanced | Outbound Security | Basic Authentication | Modify.
and enter your authentication credentials. This is usually the primary
account username/password or an email account username/password that was
set
up when you signed up with your ISP. Once you've done this, click OK
three
times and your Smarthost authentication is done.
-------------------------------------------
+ Although I don't think it's required, you could then restart the
Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service.

Dear all,
I have a setting trouble with my SMTP .
I have configured my exchange to collect my ISP mails through the
POP3
connector. This works well and I can receive my emails through my
Outlook
2003 client
Problem occurs when I try to send email, where I get a return
message
saying :
"solatys.com #5.5.0 smtp;503 This mail server requires
authentication
when
attempting to send to a non-local e-mail address"
I have no damned idea what this authentication is.
let me tel you my configuration under the SMTP connector :
General tab : I have selected to transfer the mail via connector and
I
have
specified my ISP mail server as : mail.solatys.com
Adress Space : SMTP * 1
Advance param : I do not know what to set in here. I set DO not senf
ETRN/TURN ???
Any help will be apreciate as I fight for all day.
ALl of this was working fine until my ISP run an update on my router
during
the night and change my Gateway router setting.
So I have re run the Internet and mail wizard again but Only SMTP is
failing
