Re: multiple domains question

No, not really possible. However, there are some workarounds. You could set up a dual boot. One for each domain. Or set up a VM for one or both of the machines. If they're on different physical subnets (and thus different IP address ranges), you'd simplify either of these solutions by adding a second NIC in the client workstation.

If you were to try to do this without dual booting or having multiple machines (via virtualization), you'd actually end up requiring more reboots than simply dual booting, since you'd have to keep re-joining the domain you wanted to be in, which is always at LEAST one reboot.

The one disadvantage to dual booting, or multiple concurrent machines via virtualization, is that you need multiple copies of Windows. Each boot needs its own copy of Windows XP Professional.

Hi,
Is it possible foe a XP pro client workstation to be able to logon to two
different domains( two seperate sbs 2003 sever machines)?
- I just need to be able to enable the logons one at a time(one domain/sbs
at a time) - not two domains at once.
Will this be a problem - how do you configure it?
note ferore the user log on to the other domain I will physically
attach/detach the router to enable the approriate server.
I need to keep the users data and settings approriate for each server.
regards
