Re: SBS 2003 Mirror OS Drive Question

Not trying to make you sound like a chump. But by your own admission "after years of trying" you "convinced" your client to mirror their drives. It think it is a fair criticism to say that you were *pushing* them towards a solution but had no plan on implementing it. Cart before the horse so to speak.

Besides, even though I leveled the completely legitimate criticism, I still provided an answer even if I disagree with how the situation came to be. Different RAID controllers have different features and there is not a "one size fits all" answer to your question.

Tried that. I am not in the business of telling my client they can not do it
the way they want to. When they are on a budget and I have to make a living,
doing what the client asks is my priority, so please do not try and make me
look like a chump for not doing my job.

Thanks for your help.

The snarky answer is: Shouldn't you have had a plan in place *before*
selling a client a solution?

The real (and short) answer is: It depends entirely on your RAID controller.
Some allow this, some don't. You'd be best served referencing their
documentation.
