Re: Installation Fees

Without addressing this in to much depth I charged an hourly rate, however, I
can't help to wonder what an average (or very broad range) flat rate may
amount to in California. I have been involved in IT for many years in
different capacities and did this install successfully, my first time, for a
friend.

You don't say whether this concerns Flat Fee projects or simply Hourly Rate.
You also don't indicate what part of the world your in, as things tend to vary by Geographic Region.

In the St. Louis, Missouri, metropolitan area I see hourly fees ranging from $75 to $150, depending on the Skill set of the individual assigned to do the work.

Hopefully you have a written agreement with your client, that outlined fees for the project and signed by the client, prior to starting the work.

Greetings,

I am in the process of addressing some legal issues concerning the fees I
have received for the design and deployment of a small business LAN. I know
this is a rather sensitive proprietary issue, however, could you provide me
an approximate compensation range you would charge for the entire
installation of a new client-server network which includes:

Design, Vendors (purchasing), Receiving and Setup, SBS 2003 Setup,
Antivirus, Wireless, 5 Users with new desktops, E-mail, Fax, and Printers.

Equipment is not included, strickly labor expenses.

Thank you for your time, I appreciate your candid response.
