RE: Fax Server - Store in a document library is grayed

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Miles,

Yes, the Fax Center does appear in companyweb. The service was working for
a while. We had a hard disk failure in the mirror (it was the mirror drive
so it was pretty easy to replace), replaced the bad drive. once we came back
online, the fax service was stopped. Went back through the fax server
configuration and noticed that we could not select "store in a document
library". I am successfully storing them in the "incoming faxes" folder in
the public directory but that is more difficult for the users to access and
hard to determine the origin of the fax.

Thx for your help,

Hello,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that:

The "Store in a document library" option in Configure the Fax Service
Wizard is grayed out in SBS 2008 server.

Suggestions:
================
Beside checking the registry settings, please also confirm whether the "Fax
Center" is within companyweb Documents Library. If it is missing from the
companyweb Documents Library, you will need to create a Fax Center Document
library and subfolders within Companyweb. Please also be sure to add the
appropriate Columns: Name of sender, Caller ID, Time received, Pages

Companyweb > Fax Center

Folder name:

Cover pages
Incoming faxes
Saved faxes
Sent faxes

Columns:

Name of sender
Caller ID
Time received
Pages

Hope it helps. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not
hesitate to let me know.

Miles Li
