Re: lsass.exe Errors After System HDD Clone

Was this issue ever resolved? I'm attempting something similar - except
going from PATA drives to SATA drives in RAID 1 so I have the added step
of adding the RAID drivers (no other hardware changes are involved).
One question that comes to mind when you were doing your imaging, did
you turn on VSS support? According to Acronis, this is a known issue
when imaging a domain controller without VSS:
http://www.acronis.com/support/kb/topics/Products/cid/184/articles/1079/index.html
I have attempted DriveSnapshot (http://drivesnapshot.de/) with VSS
enabled but still encounter the error (however the --AddDriver operation
to add RAID drivers works perfectly). I have not yet attempted
Acronis.
My planned next step is to take the image of the source HDD in a
separate machine, then restore the image to the new SATA drives in RAID
config.
I have doubts about this procedure as well because in past experience,
sometimes the drive partitions are not read properly in other machines.
For example, I've had issues where the partition shows up as 1000MB
rather than the true partition size.
At this point a SWING migration would have been faster than all of the
imaging attempts, but as none of the hardware is changing, I really
thought SWING would be overkill!
Any thoughts or posting your final resolution would be appreciated.
