Are you actually sharing the User Shared Folders as User$ ?

Maybe it's the '$" on the end of that share that is causing problems
(i.e., making it a 'hidden' share).

It is shared as Profiles$

Sharing permissions:

Administrator all 3 Allow boxes checked

Domain Users all 3 Allow boxes checked

Everyone all 3 Allow boxes checked

Users all 3 Allow boxes checked

Security permissions:

Administrator Full Control

Administrators Full Control

Authenticated Users All allow except full control

Domain Admins Full Control

Domain Users: traverse folder, list folder, read attributes and extended
attributes, create folders, read permissions

Folder operators Full Control

System Full Control
