Your attempt at obfuscation has rendered the ipconfig useless.
Practically useless. If an ip starts with 192.168.x.x it is a private
ip. No one can see you from the real world. There is no point in
trying to hide stuff cause you are not visible. Think of being in the
doctor's office with the door closed. No one can see in when he is
taking your blood pressure or your ekg. Bad analogy but you are not
visible. Same thing with the domain name unless you have a unique name
like IBM for your local domain name but then you would not be using
SBS if your name was IBM. At least that big blue IBM.
Your server nics should never have anything but the internal local
area nic ip listed in DNS. Never should your router ip be listed or
real world dns numbers.

There have been comments about excluding certain folders from AV
scans. I don't bother and I have not bitten but I might be living on
borrowed time. Or my AV product may have ok default exclusions.

In days of old I would get calls "I can't get to the Internet." ISee what SBS support is working on
would have users delete temp Internet files and they could. I would
also have them delete temp files from their user profile. Have you
done both?
Did you hit the reset button in IE?
Have you tried to open AD Users and Groups ok?
Have you browsed to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\Administration and tried to open
either management console from there?
Post and ipconfig/all >c:\ipconfig.txt to the group so we can look at
your basic server settings.
What anti-virus are you running on your server?

I have a domain group policy to empty temporary internet explorer
files when exiting. So first thing I do when touching machines is
delete temp internet files, checking that setting in IE, deleting temp
files from the user profile. If they have IE7 I find the reset button
which is on the IE options/Advanced tab.

sorry for the delay in replying - I've had trouble accessing the discussion
board - blank page! (is it me or am I just lucky?)
I have no dial up connections configured and no proxy server
My LAN settings are:
- automatically detect settings (I have also tried this unchecked with no
success)
- no configuration script
- no proxy server.
Any other suggestions?
Many thanks

Hi
This problem has recently arisen and was not a problem originally (server
running for over 2 years)
I am running Small Business Server build 3970 sp2 and IE 7.0.5730
When I open IE and attempt to browse to a web page I get the message
'Internet Expolrer cannot display the web page' etc
This also happens when I attempt to look at the monitoring and reporting and
backup pages in Server Management
I get the same problem with Firefox browser but the error reads
'the network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection'
However in IE I can open ftp and https pages I can also ping to IP addresses
or web address OK
All other computers on the LAN can access the internet OK (through the
server)
I assume that this is a firewall issue, but cannot seem to isolate it, and
would value any assistance.
The server has 2 network adapters, one for LAN the other to an ADSL modem
router
I cannot open the web page on the router (IP 192.168.x.x.) from the server
but can from other network computers
I would be grateful for any further troubleshooting suggestions?
Many thanks
