The only thing I'm suggesting is that the public facing website (the www.) should NOT be anywhere on the domain. It actually is less expensive to host at some public hosting company. A bit of "googling" shows that webhosting in AU is more expensive (25-30/month) than in the US.
what I’m not clear on is whether godaddy.com can support hosting sites for domains not in the US.
You don't need more hardware.

I think then we'll also land up with confusion as to where particular folders
are stored. I will just have to make do with what we've got and hope someone
feels generous, wants to make a tax deductable donation of a lot of money
then maybe I can get a few servers and seperate out some of the major
services like www, email, Routing.
