Re: Two fax modem cards

No recommendations. I beklieve it is dealers choice. That said most would
prefer to go with name brand nad with modems that it is usually US Robotics.
Personally myself I am using a Diamond Supra Max and a Diamond Supra
Express. Both of course are 56k.
I don't use the manufacturers drivers as they are no drivers for Windows SBS
2003 systems or even Windows 2003 systems. I found that using the Windows
Standard 56000 bps Modem drivers work just fine.

which brand or model is recommended?

I agree with Cris even though it is a personal choice. I use two external
modems on my SBS 2003 server and have never had any problems or issues.

No they don't have to be, but you'd be better off with external modems.
If an internal modem hangs, you have to reboot the server

Hello Everybody,

I'd like to get your input on adding two fax lines to SBS2003 R2 Std
on HP
ML350. I've looked at the option of adding a Brooketrout fax card but
It's
not cost effective. I'm more inclined towards two PCI fax modem
cards,
however I understand there may be an issue with having two identical
fax
modem cards in SBS2003, where only one would work. Do they have to be
different?
Thank you,
Daniel
